CTM Tiling Academy offers a 6 month
certification in tiling that will set you up in your new
business or assist you in finding employment as a qualified
tiler.
CTM Tiling Academy is registered by W & R
Seta and aligned with Seta training standards.
Construction tiling course
Construction Tiling is a 6 month course that includes:
Theory
Apply health and safety to a work area.
Establish and prepare a work area.
Plan and prepare to tile.
Calculate construction quantities to develop a work plan.
Interpret and use information from text.
Communicate verbally and non-verbally in the workplace.
Describe, apply, analyse and calculate shape and motion in 2 and
3 dimensional spaces in different contexts.
Practical
Tile a plastered wall.
Tile around a bath with mortar.
Tile around an attached pier
Lay tiles to a screeded floor.
Lay a screed to a shower floor.
Repair wall and floor tiles.
Site work
Learners will be given the opportunity to work on a construction
site.
Enrolment
Learners must:
Have passed Grade 12.
Be passionate about tiling
Be looking to develop in the construction industry.
Be prepared to work from 07:00 to 16:00.
Bursaries will be considered for unemployed applicants.
Print the Registration Form and Fax it to CTM Tiling Academy.
Remember to include a copy of your CV (Curriculum Vitae) and a
copy of your Identity document.
